Slowly but surely....

Lady rider @ Junction of JTC hill towards Creative
I meet this lady almost every day on my way to work. Riding a simple mini velo with her handbags on the rear rack. Stopping at the junction, she looks on to the road traffic. Green-man lights up, she steps on the pedal and in a few pedal strokes effortlessly zips pass pediastrians to her work place. No fuss, no branded bicycles.. no ra ra show. Just a really nice way to travel to work.  Times are changing.... it is really possible to cycle to work. Have you tried it?

  1. Hi there.. stumbled on your blog while researching cycling in Singapore.. I've started cycling to work daily for the past 3 weeks and I must say that it's fantastic!

I live in Bukit Batok and work in Science Park 1 and even though it would be more straight forward and faster to cycle on the open road, I chose to use the PCN from Bukit Batok to Buona Vista.. then take North Buona Vista Rd all the way to Science park 1.. hehe.. no doubt it's longer but definitely more scenic..;) Perhaps I'll try the open roads as I gain confidence! ;)

Hope to be able to join you guys on one of the LCSG outings soon!

    Cheers,
    Andrew
