From Anonymous Cat... check this out! Japanese soldiers enter Singapore in Feb 1942. They are seen riding bicycles along Selegie Road towards Serangoon Road.
And here too 
This is a super cool uncle who is going to reroute the route..
This is also interesting.. how armies have used bicycles to move quickly... question is, is it still relevant?
